Groundwork Music Project will be partnering with Foster Village: this summer!

“This was the best day of my life!” - Aspyn 🥰 Thanks to the generosity of Naturally Nourished and @alimillerrd, kids at both of our resource centers are picking up ukuleles, learning new skills, and building confidence through music this summer. This gift sponsored ukulele lessons and provided instruments for these young musicians. 🎶 Led by the wonderful Mr. Neal from @groundworkmusic these lessons are a chance for kids to connect, express themselves, and experience joy in a safe, supportive space. Aspyn's mom shared that Aspyn has been dreaming of playing since she brought home a souvenir ukulele from a vacation, and now that dream is coming to life! 💛 Support like this helps nurture resilience and creativity in the children we walk alongside, and we’re so grateful for this community beyond the system that helps make it happen! #ittakesavillage #communitybeyondthesystem #fostervillageaustin

After Austin musician Jon Dee Graham's death, loved ones make sure his guitar keeps playing The 67-year-old died last week from a fall in his home after a series of health complications. His son, William, took up his beloved guitar Zeus and played the regular Wednesday night gig he and his father had at The Continental Club.

Schedule a donation at: https://www.amplifyatx.org/organizations/groundwork-music-project In 2025: - We expanded our ukulele group lessons and teacher training in San Marcos Schools. - We grew the audiences that attended our fun, free and musically enriching community concerts. - We provided new opportunities for adult learners, through our Uke Stars events. -We taught music to foster families (by way of Foster Village). - We travelled to the Kingdom of Lesotho in Southern Africa, where we provided ukuleles, teacher training and some super fun concert events with our Lesotho Students.
