International Women’s Day.
What a nonsense.
So demonstrative of the crumbs thrown to women by the patriarchal establishment.

We’re still less wealthy, under-represented, exploited, violated gaslit and silenced as much as we ever were. We don’t need a f+ck!ng shout-out on linked in. We need Marianne Williamson in The White House.

We need to stop the war machine, corruption of the political system, brainwashing mass media, over exploitation of our planet, industrial farming, organised religions that subjugate women and on and on and on.

But I will say this.

I’m deeply grateful for the women who have shown me another way.
Who have held out their hands and opened their hearts to show up for me.
Who have cheered me on and let me cry.
Who have watched me stumble and never judged me, never doubted me.
Who have led the way when I couldn’t see a clear path.
Who have inspired me with their integrity, their strength, their authenticity and their commitment to doing the inner work. And the outer.

The ones who are raising the next generation to know unconditional love, true well-being and an unshakeable inner compass.
The ones who eschew anything that isn’t in alignment with their higher purpose. Who hold themselves to a standard much higher than society tries to confine them to.
Those who won’t be kept numb by screens, obsessed by looks, afraid of ageing, broke and poisoned by ‘beauty’ treatments .

And my heart goes out to those who aren’t there yet . The me of 10 years ago. Staying small and bruised by the shame spiral.

I didn’t always have deep sisterhood like this, and my life is immeasurably better for it, in more way than I can name.

Thank you for being my friends and teachers, thank you for being you.
I’m pinching myself that I now count too many of these women as sisters, to mention each by name here. I mean WTF?! How did that happen.

I hope you each know how much I treasure your gifts and honour and celebrate the activism that takes place in your homes and your hearts on the daily.

Women in service to humanity, I salute you 🙌

I’m so excited to host our summer Freebirth Ireland Network gathering in County Wicklow, at The Avon, Blessington.

Everyone is welcome. There’s a beautiful, lakeside outdoor space for kids and Dads to play and the greenway trail too.

10am - breakfast and chats
11.30am - Women’s circle
1pm - lunch
2pm - sovereign birth panel & discussion, Q&A etc
5pm - whiskey tasting and chats!

Full brekkie and lunch included, cafe on site for any extras required.

The last few hours, days, weeks of pregnancy…

The liminal space as this tremendous rite of passage draws near.

I believe that how we choose to spend this time is deeply impactful to mother, baby & family as we prepare to cross the threshold.

I’m drawn to beauty, pleasure, ritual. To sisterhood, to nature, to dance, to touch and to presence.
And to the moon… oh to the moon.

Spending my days in communion with the sweet soul inside me, tending to my birth altar, floating in the sea, walking the land, pottering in the garden and noticing a thousand tender moments with my boys.

Breathing it all in, I am ready.
Nourishing myself in every way that feels good.

This body will continue to be home for our baby in the months to come,
I have the most wonderful support team ready to hold us in postpartum



And surrounded by family too 🙌

There are also intermittent aches, pains, swollen feet, tender breasts, insomnia and impatience.
As always, the full spectrum of existence… holding it all in trust and deep surrender.

I wish for all women to experience their life-giving journeys this way.
