The Fall has always been my favorite time of year. I grew up on the East Coast and near the water, where falling, fiery leaves mixed with the salty spray of the sea. The first crisp air of the season always felt magical. Now in Austin, when that first cool air comes rolling in, that childhood joy remains unchanged.

As Alex and I raise our daughter, we're being thoughtful to craft some special family autumn traditions—hoping to impart a similar sense of magic. We've been pumpkin patch hopping (as many as possible!), introduced her to the beauty of Pixar's Coco on Halloween (she's always LOVED Halloween), collected colorful leaves on nature walks, and spent a couple of weekends planting new seeds for the season.

I couldn't be more grateful to experience the season through her eyes. What Autumn rituals have stayed with you through the years? The simple ones always seem to stick the longest.
