🦋 Making a Difference, One Plant at a Time! 🦋

Even as Sunset Valley Elementary prepares to close its doors, our students continue to leave a lasting impact on the world around them.

This spring, our Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd Grade students participated in a meaningful monarch conservation project by purchasing and sending more than 100 native plants home with their families for Mother's Day. These plants, including milkweed and other native species, will provide essential nectar sources and places for monarch butterflies to lay their eggs.

Through the efforts of our students and families, these plants are now spreading throughout our community, creating habitats that will help support the endangered monarch butterfly population as they migrate between the northern United States and Mexico each year.

We are incredibly proud of our youngest Cheetahs for engaging in authentic learning that extends beyond the classroom and contributes to the sustainability of our environment. Their actions are a beautiful reminder that even small hands can make a big difference.

A huge shout out to our Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd Grade students, teachers, and families for helping protect one of nature’s most remarkable travelers. 💙🐆🦋

Este evento interactivo proporcionará estrategias prácticas y recursos que pueden usar para fomentar un aprendizaje significativo de matemáticas juntos.
