At this time when communities in Los Angeles are still dealing with tragic loss due to the wildfires that erupted earlier this month, the Los Angeles Times has featured the saving of the SRF Lake Shrine as one of the examples of true heroism and hope to be highlighted as inspiration for all — very much in the universal spirit of Paramahansa Yogananda’s founding of the Lake Shrine. #Yogananda #SelfRealizationFellowship

As many of you have seen in the news, devastating wildfires broke out this week in Los Angeles, including in the Pacific Palisades area, where the Self-Realization Fellowship Lake Shrine is located.

We deeply appreciate the prayers and outpouring of support that we have received from all over the world. And our prayers and goodwill reach out to all our neighbors in the Pacific Palisades community who were affected.

We ask that you continue to pray for the well-being and safety of the firefighters, first responders, and everyone facing this ongoing and unprecedented situation.

Please know that all visitors, staff, and monastics were safely evacuated from the Lake Shrine property two days ago.
