Three short dogs… BIG world 🌎🐾
These dachshunds are out doing what we do best—real life exposure at places like Pease Park and beyond.
Socialization isn’t just dogs + people.
It’s *everything*—noise, movement, bikes, strollers, traffic, chaos.
Confidence comes from experience.
Neutrality comes from repetition.
Freedom comes from both.
Build a dog that can go anywhere—calm, comfortable, and happy.
Let’s go. Short dogs for the win. 💪🐶

Sully nailed his yearbook photo pose today—and he knows it. That proud look, chest up, eyes locked in… like, “Yeah, I did that.”
There’s something special about these go-home days. It’s not just a dog heading back to his family—it’s a dog walking out with new skills, more confidence, and a better understanding of how to exist in the world.
Sully put in the work. And today, he gets to show it off.
Go home days are the best.

**The Most Underrated Skill: Doing Nothing**
In a world that’s always “on,” most dogs never learn how to turn *off.*
No rest.
No neutrality.
Just constant stimulation.
But here’s the reality:
👉 A dog that can’t be calm… can’t truly experience the world.
When a dog is always “up,” they’re reactive.
They miss information.
They make poor decisions.
From a learning standpoint:
👉 What gets reinforced gets repeated.
So if we only reward excitement and engagement… we build more of it.
At Fidelio, we teach dogs how to **be neutral.**
We reinforce:
✔ Calm
✔ Stillness
✔ Awareness without reaction
Because neutrality gives a dog **access.**
Access to:
* New environments
* Social situations
* Clear thinking under pressure
Calm isn’t boring.
Calm is **capability.**
We don’t just train dogs to go.
We train them to **exist in the world—and handle it.**
