collaboration beer with Craft Pride:
"We love exploring brewing and fermentation traditions from around the world at Fitzhugh. This collaboration with Craft Pride was an awesome opportunity to experiment with some unique ingredients.
Iceland has a distilled spirit native to the country called Brennivin. A close cousin of the popular drink “aquavit” from Scandanavia, Brennivin is a clear liquor made with rye and root vegetables and steeped with caraway seeds after distillation. We took that information and brewed a beer based on the Brennivin flavor profile. Brewed with 60% rye malt, 40% barley, 50lbs of roasted parsnips, and a dash of caraway seeds in the boil, this Brennivin beer is spicy, earthy, and delicious.

Craft Pride is proud to be pouring the Partners in Craft collaboration beers at the Texas Craft Brewers Festival on October 1.
