Last year, our Vitality Unit spent countless hours building, planting, and cultivating an accessible garden bed to incorporate more fresh vegetables and herbs into our meals. This shaded garden area has allowed us improve our environmental wellness by spending more time outdoors during hot Texas summers to connect with nature. Here are some of our favorite highlights and benefits brought to our community:

Just in time for summer, community partner, Keep Austin Fed, brought us a massive donation of blueberries!

From french toast and poptarts to homemade vinaigrette and jam, our Vitality Unit was feeling inspired. Members and staff worked together all week to utilize as much fruit as possible, and preserve the rest.

With rising food costs, donations like this from Keep Austin Fed help us ensure all of our members have access to affordable, nutritious meals. We are so grateful for their partnership and the support they provide to our community.

This month, Ally Medical provided CPR training and certification for the Clubhouse. Members and staff learned essential lifesaving skills, including CPR techniques and emergency response procedures, while gaining confidence in their ability to respond during a medical emergency. We appreciate Ally Medical for partnering with us to provide this valuable training opportunity!
