As a Meetings Manager, Shamika brings more than 16 years of experience creating meaningful event experiences and building strong relationships with clients, vendors, and attendees. Her thoughtful approach to event planning and passion for bringing people together make her a wonderful addition to the SAM team.

Congratulations to Kelly George, CAE, Account Executive, on her recent election to the Texas Society of Association Executives (TSAE) Board of Directors!

In this role, Kelly will help support TSAE's mission and contribute to the advancement of the association profession in Texas. SAM is proud of her leadership and service, and we look forward to the impact she will make during her three-year term.

U.S. National Committee of the International Council of Museums (ICOM-US) recently gathered in Philadelphia for its board meeting, held during the 2026 AAM Annual Meeting & MuseumExpo. Organized by the American Alliance of Museums, AAM 2026 brought together museums of all types and sizes, from art and history museums to zoos and botanic gardens, to share ideas and build transformational connections across the museum field. SAM is proud to provide association management services to ICOM-US as it supports U.S. museum professionals' engagement with the global museum community.
