Ann is a triple Harvard graduate (B.A. in Physics and Chemistry, M.S. in Applied Mathematics for Biomechanical Systems, and PhD in fluid mechanics), all by the age of 25.

During her last year, she co-developed and co-lectured a revamped course on mathematical modeling for real-life problems – a precursor to what is now “data science.”

After 15 years in scientific research and academia, Ann realized that the most innovative scientific discovery will become increasingly funded by the private sector. So, she left academia to learn about business.

For the next 5 years, she worked her way from a big data science expert leading small teams at Majestic Research and at Riot Games to leading analytic growth teams at Silicon Valley startups.

For the last 8 years, Ann has worked in venture capital, most recently as a General Partner at Bullpen Capital, pushing the adoption of big data to open up the aperture of deal sourcing.

She has invested in or advised 30+ companies from Series Seed+ or A onward (current total valuation of $3B+ with 4 valued at over $500M and 5 at over $100M).
