Now that it’s officailly summer....
Starting Monday, June 22, we’re serving up a limited-time Happy Hour menu that’s giving poolside picnic meets Chinese comfort food.

Back to where it started. We heard you.
The thin spring roll wrapper had its moment… but nothing like true Chinese takeout eggroll.

Char siu is one of those smells you never forget. In Cantonese the name means “fork roasted,” because the pork was hung on long forks and cooked over open fire in the old barbecue shops. Traditionally people use pork shoulder, but our kitchen likes pork belly. The fat slowly renders and the glaze caramelizes so the outside gets that sticky char and the inside stays soft and juicy. Sweet, a little smoky, a little savory -simple food, but when it’s done right, it’s something special.
