🚨 TAKE THE 2026 SAFETY STAND DOWN QUIZ 🚨
One of the easiest ways to participate in Safety Stand Down 2026 is by taking the official Stand Down Quiz!
This year’s theme — Firefighter FITNESS: Fit to Serve, Fit for Life — focuses on the health, wellness, and readiness of today’s fire service. The quiz is designed to challenge your knowledge, spark conversation within your department, and reinforce the importance of firefighter safety and wellness.
Whether you’re a firefighter, officer, instructor, or chief, this is a great opportunity to:
✅ Test your knowledge
✅ Learn something new
✅ Start important conversations
✅ Support a stronger, healthier fire service
Take the quiz individually or challenge your crew to complete it together during Safety Stand Down week.

GET READY FOR JUNE âž¡ FIREFIGHTER SAFETY STAND DOWN
The TCFP 🔸Health and Wellness Committee🔸 proudly supports the IAFC Safety Stand Down initiative in June 2026, recognizing it as a vital opportunity to strengthen a culture of safety, health, and operational readiness throughout the fire service. This initiative closely aligns with the Committee’s mission to promote the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of Texas firefighters through proactive education and meaningful engagement at every level.
By emphasizing training, awareness, and open dialogue, Safety Stand Down advances our shared commitment to prioritizing firefighter wellness—both on and off duty.
The 2026 theme, FITNESS, underscores the importance of total firefighter readiness, with each day dedicated to a different dimension of fitness, including physical conditioning, mental resilience, nutrition, and recovery. These daily focus areas provide departments with practical tools and resources to support their personnel. The theme also aligns closely with the Committee’s ongoing initiatives, including sleep health, nutrition, cardiac health, hormone regulation, physical fitness, mental health, cancer awareness and support, and more.
