A Reason For Hope

📖 God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself.
-2 Corinthians 5:19a

💭 Grace is the X factor in every believer's life.

💭 Praying for daily bread while worrying about tomorrow is being two-faced with God.

🙏 Dear Jesus,
I see two main points in this prayer that you have given us:
1) you want me to look to you and not myself to provide everything I need for this body and life and
2) you want me to ask for it daily and not plan for a storehouse that will pile up a hundred times more than I will ever need.

Both points for truly praying "give me my daily bread" lead me to repentance for wanting to be the god of my own life and provider of everything I would ever need.

It's a hard petition to practice honestly.

I hear voices telling me I need to worry about all my future in this passing world as if it all depended on me.

Give me the faith that you are telling me to have, so that I will ask you for what 1 need each day. I want to fully trust that you will be a loving Father and give it freely to me and those I love.
