Which Ravan should we really burn this Dussehra? The real Ravan is our attachment to the world, and it burns only with the fire-arrow of devotion to God. ๐ค
๐น Dussehra ยท Vijayadashami ยท Tuesday, October 20
On Vijayadashami we celebrate Shree Ram's victory over Ravan. In this teaching, Jagadguru Shree Kripalu Ji Maharaj explains the inner meaning of burning Ravan: it is our attachment to the world that must be burned, and devotion to Shree Krishna is the arrow that burns it.
เคชเคเคเคฎ เคฎเฅเคฒ เคเคเคฆเฅเคเฅเคฐเฅ ยท Fifth Original Jagadguru โ Jagadguru Shree Kripalu Ji Maharaj on the real Ravan:
โWe cannot burn even the material energy; it is God's power. This worldly attachment that has come about because of the material energy, attachment to the world, deciding that there is happiness in the world, our mind is attached to worldly objects. This must be burned. This attachment must be burned. So how will it burn? It will burn with the fire-arrow of devotion to Shree Krishna. If only this burns, that's all, then there will not be a second's delay in attaining God. Therefore, the real Ravan is attachment to the world.โ
