In her role, she plays a key part in connecting products to the people and spaces that use them bridging the gap between retail, distribution, and the evolving ways audiences engage with physical music formats.

Hazel Yarwood was one of the early women disc cutting engineers working at EMI’s Abbey Road Studios in London at a pivotal moment in recorded sound history. Beginning around 1950, she worked in the cutting rooms as the industry transitioned from 78 rpm shellac discs to the newly emerging 33⅓ rpm LP format. As a cutting engineer, she operated disc-cutting lathes that translated recorded audio into physical grooves on lacquers. Her work took place during a period when EMI was expanding its LP production and refining high-fidelity recording practices.
