Dawn Slokan from is a published business professional with areas of expertise including finance, accounting, management and Human Resources.

Dawn currently works as a virtual bookkeeper for many small businesses nationally. In addition to her virtual bookkeeping, she is a Finance for Non-Financial Managers instructor and a financial consultant for a small non-profit organization.

I had the pleasure of photographing Dawn two weeks ago in Pittsburgh, needless to say, I think these headshots reflect the professional yet personal approach that make her stand out from other professionals in her field.

It’s kind of hard not to get emotional about this session. Here is one more mini session from my trip to Pittsburgh a week and half ago.

Photographing Alex as a senior felt surreal because I first photographed him as a newborn and many other times after (Slide left to see photo 😜) It’s been over a decade since I last saw him, and somehow, in the blink of an eye, he’s grown into this confident, kind young man.

Our families go way back to when we lived in Pittsburgh, countless afternoons of our kids playing together while I shared laughter and life with his mom, one of my dearest friends.

To stand behind the lens and witness this full-circle moment was a true gift. A mini senior session, yes! but a major moment in my heart.

Time has a way of sweeping us forward, but photographs remind us where we’ve been.

Jamie, I can’t believe your baby is going to college soon. Here is to our kiddos growing up!
