I attended the annual AHNA conference in June in Palm Springs, California. I was also a presenter. It was a privilege to speak on my passion. A Vision of Wellness for Children Who Have Experienced Emotional Trauma.

Did you know there are over 9 million children treated in emergency departments at hospitals with injuries each year. Over 150,000 children are born each year with disabilities that require treatment-often long periods of treatment and some require multiple surgeries. There are 40,000 children who receive chemotherapy and or radiation annually. Over 5 million calls are made each year for suspected abuse and neglect. These numbers do not include bullying and child trafficking.

Now imagine being able to create opportunities to prevent these events from occurring. Imagine creating tools that would aid in healing so these children can experience wellness and wholeness and being all they are meant to be.

Mending Me had tools to aid in the prevention and treatment of children who have experienced emotional trauma. These tools are effective as is sand therapy, dance, and other tools.

However, it's important that there are a variety of tools for prevention and treatment. That's where you come in. What is your passion? How can you help so that more children experience healing, wellness and wholeness.
We can do this together. Each of us can do our part. You can make a difference.

Thank you for liking page for Mending Me, LLC. I was in Portland Oregon the first week in June as an exhibitor at the American Holistic Nursing national conference. It is a beautiful city;and the weather was spectacular. My therapeutic toys with the mending heart touched many who visited.

I have been listening to webinars on how to improve my page, so over the next few weeks look for some positive changes.
