The 1990s carried the voices of those who refused to be pushed aside.

Marsha P. Johnson and Sylvia Rivera weren’t just part of the movement —
they were at the heart of it.

Two trans women of color who showed up when it mattered most.

Who fought not just for visibility…
but for the people often left out of the conversation —
trans folks, unhoused youth, and the most marginalized in our community.

They co-founded STAR (Street Transvestite Action Revolutionaries),
creating space, safety, and support when no one else would.

They protested
They organized
They took care of their people

And even when the movement tried to move forward without them…
they made sure they were never erased.

The 90s and everything after, carries their impact; you are welcome.
