Why I do what I do.

Words will never be enough to express how much I greatly appreciate you and everything you have done for me in this trying time. In all of my 33 years of life, never would I have imagined being put into this kind of predicament. Prior to this, I had never been in trouble with the law. Never been arrested or had anyone falsify charges against me. Upon arrival to your office, my stomach was in knots and I didn’t know what to expect. After meeting with you, you set my mind to ease and I took heed to your encouraging words and let you work my case. It was so hard trying not to contact you constantly and bug you because I knew that it was a process but this being my first charge had me on edge. Even upon sending you emails , text, or calls, you communicated in a timely manner and explained everything to me including what I would expect. I love how honest and upfront you are.

The fact that you stood on your word and did exactly what you said you would do, I will forever be grateful for you. I’m crying as I type this because without you , I don’t know what my outcome would have been. Well, we draw close to the end of another year. This was a year of heavy lifting, representing a number of clients facing very serious charges. In the end, a successful year, with a number of dismissals and successful sentencing results in both state and federal court. The practice of law isn't always pretty.
I maintained my board certifications in both criminal law, for 30 years, and criminal appellate law, since its inception for 11 years, and named to Super Lawyers for federal law/white collar law for 5 years running. According to the State Bar of Texas, only about 1% of attorneys are board certified specialist in two areas of practice. I'm also still a proud member of the State Bar College, a honor afforded to just a few.
