I don't use the term Medical Reject lightly.
But after working with so many spoonies, invisible illness sufferers, and chronic pain patients, it's a term I use to accurately describe most of their healthcare experiences.
🙅🏼♀️ No one deserves to be a Medical Reject. Especially when the very place they're going to get help from is the one that rejects them.
🏥 I'm not talking about a specific profession or group of people here, but more so the Western Healthcare Industrial Complex in general. The system as a whole.
📉 Unfortunately, we Americans aren't the healthiest of the bunch. Especially when considering we are the biggest consumers of pharmaceutical drugs. On top of that, our healthcare system ranks poorly on a global scale, while it's one of the most expensive to operate.
🚧 Don't ask me how to fix it. I don't have those answers nor is that where my passion is, although I do share your frustration.
💯 I do have answers and passion for those that are sick of being in a healthcare system that's not working for them. Those answers are in how I practice — from how I communicate and listen to the way my clinic feels and looks.
🧠 I know how to help people get Mind-Body-Spirit healthy, starting with their central nervous systems. Those answers come in the form of results. Whether with me or through working with my network of extraordinary healthcare practitioners.
🚨 Here's the only catch.
**You have to be tired of being a Medical Reject.**
Your mindset has to flip from hoping something or someone can save you or fix you or you can take 💊 to cure that.
🧬️ True health comes from loving yourself enough to care for yourself. To want what's GOOD for you. No healthcare provider can want that for you MORE than you want it for yourself.
✨ If you're tired of the status quo and you're ready to take the journey, I'm your doc! And if you're not, it's okay. You can’t force yourself into health. You’ll be ready when you’re ready, and I'll still be here rooting for you. 🥳️

You'll get where you want to go a lot faster if you stop looking for external things to change your internal things.
❌ If you're stressed out, burned out, or dealing with chronic health issues the answers do NOT come in the form of restrictive eating protocols, wellness trends, or 💊.
⚠️ You will *never* truly recover and heal when your starting point is outside-in instead of inside-out.
🧠 Your neurology is what tells your physiology what to do. In essence, every single action inside your body occurs from your central nervous system's instructions.
🧬️ So, if we have normal nervous system function, we have normal body and organ system processes.
If we're exhibiting chronic or reoccurring symptoms, like
🔹 sleep issues
🔹 anxiety issues
🔹 digestion issues
🔹 hormonal issues
🔹 autoimmunity issues
🔹 pain issues
our Body and organ systems are NOT functioning properly.
❓ Addressing the root cause doesn't have anything to do with getting rid of the symptom. It's concerned with finding out why the symptom is occurring in the first place.
💰 Sometimes it's a simple, quick fix. Most times, especially in the case of something chronic, it takes time, patience, and consistency through supporting your nervous system.
💯 The kicker here? What keeps your nervous system chronically stressed out is the decisions you make, your connection with yourself and others, and how you view yourself and the world. Not if you're using the correct red light therapy frequency, got that one supplement, or went X amount of time without eating a carb.
🌱 Getting your nervous system right is an inside job. Much more than an outside job.

Supporting your nervous system is something you eventually build into your daily habits and routine. Care for your Body and its most important system is something that's needed from you daily!
🚨 But most of my patients show up having needed this support A LONG time ago. In fact, they had no idea central nervous system dysregulation was the root of many, if not all, of their health problems.
📌 If you're wondering what kind of support you need, use this tool to see where you fall on the spectrum.
🥳️ Most people who consistently live a generally healthy and mindful lifestyle are doing okay. Usually, they could tweak a few things to pay a little more attention to what their Body is asking for, but can do most of the support themselves.
🚧 There is a recipe for nervous system dysfunction that requires hands-on professional attention. In essence, it looks like a cocktail of these. 👇🏼
chronic mental, physical, emotional stress
🔻poor posture
🔻toxic environments or people
🔻exposure to chemicals & synthetics
🔻lack of sleep
🔻wear & tear
🔻lots processed food
🔻general neglect of Self, etc
significant stressful events
🔻car accident
🔻concussion
🔻surgery
🔻divorce
🔻losing a loved one or a job
🔻abuse (any kind)
🔻child birth
🔻menstruation, etc
❌ Basically, stress can overwhelm your nervous system's ability to adapt any more stress. When you stop adapting stress, your Body enters into a default state of Survival Mode. It is now hypervigilant, in a constant state of protection and will no longer restore, grow, and heal per its design.
🧬️ This is when we get long-standing health issues and a whole lot of them. A symptom snowball effect, if you will.
🧠 Look, if that's you... you've 👏🏼 got 👏🏼 options. 👏🏼 You can get your life back. Promise.

BOLD statement here. I know. Hear me out. 📣
📌 Stress is something you will encounter on the daily. Every moment in fact.
📌 Stress is actually neutral. It's simply a force or factor that exerts influence. In fact, stress is not only neutral, you need it to live. Without stressors, our bodies wouldn't have any messages to send to our brain and then our brain couldn't make up our reality in which we live.
📌Stress is not inherently bad or good. It just is. And we need it to live meaningful lives.
🚧 So, since we need stress, the question isn't about how to get rid of it. I don't even like the term "stress management" because it's not necessarily something to manage either. It's not like you'll know when a bucket full of stress will be dumped on you.
🚨 Did we know we would reach a full year of a pandemic? Nope.
🚨 Do you ever really know when sh*t is going to hit the fan? Absolutely not. Otherwise, it would never hit the fan.
💡 Instead of focusing on managing, subtracting, forcing, & controlling stress, why don't we focus on increasing our resiliency to it? If we focused on how well we could roll with the punches when they come, the punches wouldn't matter so much.
🧠 There is a way to do this. It's in the form of supporting your central nervous system (CNS). Your CNS's entire role within your body is to adapt stress. It's an adaptation machine! The problems arise when our CNS is not adapting the way it's supposed to.
🔸 Why does our CNS stop adapting?
An overwhelming or significant amount or intensity of chronic stress that turns on our Survival Mode.
🔸When can this happen?
As early as infancy... potentially even in the womb.
🔸 What happens to all that stress that's not adapted?
It gets stored as trauma within your body.
🔸 How do you know if you've got stored trauma?
You'll have some chronic health gaps.
🧬️ One sure thing — if stress makes health gaps worse, it's definitely time to focus on your nervous system rehab.
