This July 18–26, I’m returning to the Scottish Highlands as a co-host on a small,intimate retreat based on the shores of Loch Awe in Argyll. A group of us — all with a love of Scotland and its living heritage — will be spending a week experiencing the Highlands in a way that goes far beyond a typical visit.

Here’s what’s waiting for us:

🪨 The ancient standing stones and cairns of Kilmartin Glen — one of the greatest concentrations of prehistoric monuments in Scotland
⛵ A ferry crossing to the Isle of Iona — sacred ground
🏰 Inveraray Castle — and an evening at one of the hotels in Inveraray,
the heart of town on Games night
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 The Inveraray Highland Games on July 21st — where a member of the committee will be there to greet us on the day
🎻 An evening Ceilidh — traditional music, storytelling, and dancing under the Highland sky
🌅 Morning and evening yoga on the shores of the loch to greet and close each day

This is not a package tour. It’s a small group of people experiencing Scotland slowly, deeply, and with music at its heart.
