I have a client who had a Brazilian Cherry 3 1/4 inch wide floors on her first floor. It’s an exotic floor and it ranges from orange to burgundy wine color.. her dog is getting a little bit older and is peeing on any surface that has carpet. So we decided to do wood on her stairs and upstairs. Maybe the dog won’t go upstairs because it doesn’t like the wood.

Brazilian cherry is outrageously expensive and harder to source in the big picture.

I found a stained acacia that matched one of the colors in her floor perfectly. She still needs to paint her risers and stain her starter step and rails if she chooses to do that, but my part of the job is stunning and is done. She is so happy and I think those stairs are beautiful..

I am nothing without my men. .

I was invited to measure the home of a cute young couple that just bought their first home. They had a 3 1/4 inch oak in an old American color. They wanted to take the gross carpet off the stairs and upstairs, but they were at a loss of what would look good. They definitely didn’t want to do the 3 1/4 inch Bruce because it looked dated. I found the perfect floor. It was a 5 inch. It looks almost exactly the same and I did the stairs in the upstairs. It’s Johnson Hardwood Texas series 2.0 El Paso. I made the custom stair nose out of the planks of wood so they look so clean. With white risers that still need to be painted, wanted to show you how good it looks. The first floor has been in for 15 years, the stairs and the second floor I just did yesterday. 

The customer is very happy
