Today, MacPlus celebrates 20 years! The first image below pays homage to our original business name, MAChanics, which laid the foundation for this incredible journey.

Let’s take a trip down memory lane:
Before MacPlus, Eric excelled in tech support at Apple. On Jan 12, 2003, he emailed Steve Jobs, sharing his decision to pursue a business degree. To Eric’s surprise, Steve replied the same day, offering encouragement: “I’m sure you’ll meet some colorful characters there and learn a lot, so you’ll be even more valuable to Apple if and when you return.”
With Steve’s blessing, Eric embarked on his journey. After completing his degree, he faced a choice: continue his own business or return to Apple. 20 years later, here we stand, a team of 6 with loyal clients from the start.

With that, a huge thanks is owed to our clients, partners, and team for this milestone! Your support fuels our success.

PS: Take a look at some of the products and software Eric would have supported back in 2004. iOS hadn’t been introduced yet; that wouldn’t happen until 2007 with the release of the iPhone. Mac OS X served as the operating system for Apple computers. Some notable features included iMix, party shuffle, AirTunes, and the ability to copy photos to iPod Photos. Additionally, the iLife ‘04 suite, which included music software GarageBand, was unveiled by Steve Jobs at Macworld 2004, with then 27-year-old John Mayer giving a demo.
