Today marks my 10th anniversary since opening Five Element Austin!
To say it has been honor treating y’all is an understatement. On a daily basis, I’m reminded how lucky am I to be able to work with each one of you. Being able to be a part of your healing journeys is what honestly keeps me going.
Thank you for entrusting me with your care throughout all these years. 🙏 I truly love all my patients and this very special medicine so much!

Fall is ruled by the metal element in Chinese Medicine.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The organs associated with the metal element are the Lungs and Large Intestine. ⬇️
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🫁 Our lungs physically are responsible for inhaling fresh oxygen into the body.
- Mentally, it is the Lungs that lets us absorb new ideas and for our mind to be clear.
- Spiritually, the Lungs provide the gift the inspiration - of being connected to both ourselves and to something greater.
**It provides quality and purpose to our paths.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🤍 The Large Intestine physically eliminates all food matter with no nutritive value through defecation.
- Mentally, it's responsible for what the mind remembers and clings to or disposes.
- Spiritually, it gives us the gift of letting go.
**Without letting go, we can develop a "spiritual constipation."
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The emotion associated with the metal element is grief or sadness. We should all grieve losses we hold dear. Grief allows us to remember and honor that which is no longer and then let go.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The color associated with metal is white, and the sound has a weeping quality. 🤍

To all acupuncturists and acupuncture students, I’ll be helping teach a weekend course with Neil Gumenick (an amazing teacher and practitioner) introducing the incredible practice of Classical Five Element Acupuncture in Bozeman, Montana September 17-18th!
Not only will you get an introduction to this form, but you’ll also leave with new clinical knowledge to implement in your practice- whether it’s pulse taking, how to clear a block, clearing treatments and learning some spirit of the points. None of this is taught in TCM courses and offers the ability to truly enhance your depth of practice.
Plus, this course provides 16 hours of NCCAOM CEUs! You can sign up through The Institute of Classical Five Element Acupuncture or through www.montanamaaom.org website under events. DM me if you have any questions! Super excited to get back into teaching after a hiatus due to COVID.

Crete, Part 1. I can’t even begin to describe how much Crete blew me away. Not only was this island way less touristy than other Greek Islands I’ve been to, but it has it all- magical beaches, mountains, the warmest people, and the freshest, most delicious food (the island is fully self-sustainable agriculture wise).
For this portion of the trip, one of my closest friends joined us with her partner Matt as part 40th Birthday celebration. I’m so lucky and grateful they made the trip- as it was a trek for them-but we all had a blast!
Also, finally got the R&R we desperately needed. The first few days were spent lounging at ( bought me this unicorn dragon raft from a corner store I was obsessed with) and hiking Imbros Gorge.

Happy Earth Day! This world is an amazing, beautiful place- and the only one we’ve got. So, appreciate it and take care of it please! These are some of my favorite nature pics from my world travels over the years. 🌎💚
