UT Austin Student Engineers Educating Kids - SEEK

As an organization, SEEK stands in solidarity with the Black community and its call for justice. We believe that the deaths of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and many others require us to amplify the fears and frustrations the Black community is facing. We encourage you to take action by understanding, donating and advocating for justice. Our organization and its members support the Black communities we have the opportunity to serve. We strongly believe that Black Lives Matter.

Our very first PO spotlight of the semester is Maria! Yay! 🤗
Maria is a second year chemical engineering major from Katy, TX. She’s been a PO for 3 of the 4 semesters she’s been in SEEK. Her favorite part of SEEK is getting to know all the kids during icebreakers.
Outside of SEEK, she’s in Texas Fuego Spirit Group and Texas Latin Dance. And for fun, she likes to cook and bake and watch documentaries.

Our PO Spotlight of the week is Leila!! She’s a senior bme from Keller, TX. She’s been in SEEK for 4 semesters. In addition to SEEK, Leila is the President of WBME, in SEC, and UT Steel Pan Ensemble.

Some fun facts about Leila are that she lived in Mexico for a year and has let Rick Riordan at a book signing!
