I HATE letting other people run my calendar!

Almost every business guru out there will tell you that your first hire will need to be someone to take care of your admin tasks, like booking appointments.

Many years ago, I was given this advice too. But I HATED opening my Google calendar finding all of these appointments that were made for me...it felt like showing up to an actual job vs my own business.

And while I have an awesome assistant (that I adore!!!), for me, my best step in scaling my business was hiring a developer to take coding tasks off my plate. That’s what was ACTUALLY sucking my time, not making appointments!

Thanks to codeless platforms (like Weeknight!) I no longer need quite as much help with dev, but the rule still rings true.

Figure out what’s ACTUALLY sucking your time and offload those tasks. Maybe it actually is admin, but use a timer app like and get real about where your time is actually going!
