This is a great look at how to prioritize nutrition. Most questions I receive about nutrition are related to supplements and what works best for fat loss. These aren’t bad questions just misguided ones. The supplement industry has an amazing way of selling you the idea that their product should be prioritized if you want to see results. This is far from the truth. There ARE small benefits to supplementation but pretty insignificant in comparison to the effects of managing total calories and focusing on macronutrients. These supplements have their place, but not until a foundation is set.
So what is a good questions to ask yourself when trying to drop body fat?
How is my current behavior and lifestyle decisions effecting energy balance and my estimated total calorie intake?
What are some things that I can do to limit the amount of total calories I eat daily?
How do I calculate my total calorie needs?
How does energy balance work?
What are macronutrients and how do I calculate mine?
