Jeffrey’s is proud to be included in the first Michelin Guide to Texas, announced last night in Houston.

This recognition is a testament to the dedication, talent, and passion of our entire team—from Executive Chef Mark McCain and our kitchen crew to our GM David Olson, servers, hosts, bartenders, and every person who touches Jeffrey’s on a daily basis.

We would like to express our deep gratitude to Jeffrey’s original founders, Ron & Peggy Weiss and Jeff Weinberger, who opened Jeffrey’s in 1975. A huge thanks to all our loyal customers and the Austin community for your support throughout the decades.

This honor comes at a special time for Jeffrey’s as we celebrate our 50th anniversary in 2025. We’re very grateful to have the Michelin Guide acknowledge our hard work and creativity, and we look forward to celebrating with all of you.

Congrats to all the Texas restaurants included in this year’s guide.

Delicate sweetness, silky texture, and buttery flavor—Nantucket Scallops are one of the world’s true (and attainable) luxuries. At Jeffrey’s, we sear them simply to a rich, golden mahogany, spoon over with velvety lardo brown butter and pair them with earthy lobster mushrooms and slightly bitter watercress. Pure magic if we do say so ourselves.
