We turned the recess where the refrigerator was into an adjustable pantry with loads of storage potential, hidden behind a custom cedar barn door. The same wood was used to create a unique narrow shelf recessed between wall studs that the client uses to keep cookbooks and specialty oils.

An unused breakfast room with built in desk was turned into the cooking zone. A mobile island connects the expansive kitchen, providing a convenient workspace wherever it is needed. It is topped with a custom drop edge Dekton countertop, so it can withstand hot pans straight out of the oven, and is durable enough to cut veggies right on it.

Before & After — We moved the closet wall back to meet the side wall of the shower, gaining a whole foot of space for the new open wet area. Sleek 48” large format porcelain tiles glaze the walls, floor to ceiling, reflecting the natural light to enhance the scale of the space. A historically inspired claw foot tub stands proud atop the smooth pebble floor. The area is adorned by sparkling polished nickel fixtures that provide an elegant touch of nostalgia within a contemporary style.

Before & After — A built in linen closet and dead corner were removed to create a long straight vanity run. A double wide trough sink provides enough space for two without taking up too much counter space. A continuous mirror with sconces mounted on the sides gives even lighting levels for applying makeup at the seated vanity.
