The Texas PMP collects and monitors prescription data of controlled substances for Texas residents.

The online ordering portal for Official Prescription Form for Schedule II Drugs will be undergoing system maintenance from August 28th, 2025 through September 3rd, 2025. Practitioners will be unable to place orders during this time. The Texas State Board of Pharmacy recommends placing orders prior to the maintenance window.

Pharmacy professionals can help patients safely dispose of unneeded medications, preventing prescription misuse and opioid addiction. Spread the word about DEA's next National Prescription Drug Take Back Day October 26, 10am to 2 pm.

The Drug Enforcement Administration's (DEA) next National Prescription Drug Take Back Day will be held Saturday, April 27, 2024, from 10am to 2pm.

From the DEA:

“DEA’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day reflects DEA’s commitment to Americans’ safety and health, encouraging the public to remove unneeded medications from their homes as a measure of preventing medication misuse and opioid addiction from ever starting.”
