SPF is still the most effective anti-aging step in your routine, and the right one can feel like skincare you actually want to wear.

We pulled the three we reach for most this summer. ColorScience is our go-to mineral SPF: silky, lightly tinted, and somewhere between a sunscreen and a light foundation. The iron oxides help it adapt to your skin tone and blur a little, and it holds up to 40 minutes of water resistance.

Pavise Daily Age Defense is the one the whole office talks about. It does more than protect, with actives like tranexamic acid that make it a favorite for melasma-prone skin. Amber likes to layer it under ColorScience for an easy everyday tint.

Skin Better Science is the heavy hitter for long days outside or anything post-treatment. Mineral, slightly tinted, and water resistant up to 80 minutes, so it stays put while you sweat or swim.

One tip from us: mixing and matching is the move. The right combination comes down to your skin type and how you actually spend your days.

All SPF, face and body, is 15% off through June.

Kacie asked Michael, our patient concierge, what she actually uses. She has sensitive skin, runs outside daily, and her skin still glows.

Michael is the first face you see when you walk into Restora, and her routine is worth knowing. It's Pavise across the board: the Daily Defense SPF, the Bio-Adaptive Stress Repair Serum, the cleanser, and the eye cream. She's been consistent with the line for about a year.

"I have very sensitive skin. I really like that it doesn't give me a rash, doesn't make me dry or itchy. The cleanser gets everything off without irritating my skin."

Running outside means real sun exposure, and the BSR has made a visible difference on pigmentation.

"I've noticed it does lighten some dark spots I get on my cheeks."

For daily SPF and coverage, she recently switched to ColorScience tinted sunscreen.

Here's Kacie on why that matters:
"A lot of people think they can use makeup with SPF in it, but that's a very watered-down version of sunscreen. ColorScience is sunscreen that also happens to be makeup. The foundation of it is protection. You can tell because you have no sun damage."

Once a week, a prescription retinoid keeps cellular turnover consistent.

It's a simple, sensitive-skin friendly routine that's clearly doing its job.

All Pavise and ColorScience products are available at Restora.

Choosing between Sculptra, Radiesse, and HA filler is one of the most common questions Audrey and Kacie field in consultations. The answer is always patient-specific — but here's how they think through it.

Sculptra vs. Radiesse
Sculptra's mechanism relies on immune function, which naturally declines over time. It tends to perform best in patients 60 and under. Radiesse works through a different pathway and holds up well in older patients, and it's the preferred biostimulator for body treatments.

"My go-to for body treatments is Radiesse. I just like that it stimulates two types of collagen and elastin."

Radiesse also has an HA gel carrier, so there's some visible volumization while the biostimulatory response develops. With Sculptra, the sterile water absorbs within 24–48 hours — everything you see later is your own collagen.

If you want a little more fullness while your body starts to kick in — Radiesse makes more sense. Immediate gratification.

When HA filler wins
Both biostimulators stimulate collagen. Neither addresses significant fat loss directly. When meaningful volume is missing, HA filler restores it at that specific layer — it's a different tool for a different problem.

All three are excellent. The right choice depends on which layer is affected, what's driving the concern, and what the patient's goals actually are. That's what a consultation with Kacie or Audrey is for.
