It is a constant struggle to balance the "always-on" demands of modern life and the biological necessity of regeneration. Personal context: I can recall several stretches of my career spent working without sleep—fifty to sixty hours without going home, months of 120-hour weeks, and relentless RFPs consisting of twenty-hour days punctuated only by a quick shower and a twenty-five-minute nap....
