I became known for this by accident.
I started dissolving patients back in 2017-18 when no other providers in my tri-state region would touch a patient with hylenex.
Back then the philosophy of industry as a whole was
“I’m not going to touch another providers work”
” you don’t know what they injected or how they injected” “ there are no protocols for dissolving lips”
”hylenex is only for emergency use.” (there were also no standardized protocols for using it in emergencies. )
“It dissolves the tissues in your face.”
Nobody would help these people, and there were some seriously botched lips out there leaving people, horribly disfigured, and emotionally distraught.
Out of sheer necessity and the desire to help these devastated patients, I started doing research on my own.
I developed my own protocols for dissolving and have been doing it since 2018. I’ve use well over 1000 miles of hylenex without a single adverse reaction, or complication. I first presented some of my work Plastic and Aesthetic Nurses back in 2022.
I meant to present again in 2023, however, opening my new practice and new Injector studio delayed my plans. I will be presenting at ISPAN again this year in Toronto October 2026
