“A new law has been passed that allows your internet service provider (ISP) to SELL your PERSONAL, FINANCIAL, and MEDICAL information collected through the use of their internet provisions.

In an article written by Brian Naylor, a weathered political correspondent for NPR, and published on www.npr.org, it states that “ISPs collect huge amounts of data on the websites people visit, including medical, financial and other personal information. The FCC regulation would have required ISPs to ask permission before selling that information to advertisers and others.” However, with this new regulation, they don’t need your permission, and your information can now be sold, without hesitation, to the highest bidder.

This destruction of privacy protection for the consumer means we have to protect ourselves, on an individual level, from the invasive, for-profit, 3rd party vending of our personal and professional online activities.
