Lake homes DO sell in January! I met a friend for lunch in mid-December. As we were on our way out the door, I mentioned that I had a friend/client looking for a lake home. He immediately had a contact that came to mind, and we called him, right there. He said he wasn't quite ready but to call him mid-January to discuss further. We talked via phone Monday, January 8th. On Thursday, January 11th, my client and I met him at his lake house. Sunday, January 14th, we were back with my client's family. On Tuesday, January 16th, I met the seller for lunch and we negotiated and discussed an offer. On Wednesday, January 17th our offer was accepted, and the deal was signed. My friend was looking for a unique home. Something a little rustic. Something unlike a normal home you would find in a neighborhood. Mission accomplished!
