💙 Boomer Update 💙

This isn’t the update we were hoping to share. 💔
Today, Boomer saw the vet to find out why he struggles to eat and can’t drink water normally. After testing, he was diagnosed with esophageal diverticulum, a rare condition that causes food to get trapped in a pouch in his esophagus.

This means every meal is now a challenge. 🥺 Boomer can only eat soft, mushy food, and after every feeding he must stay upright in a Bailey Chair for 20–30 minutes to help prevent aspiration. We also have to teach this sweet little guy to drink from a rabbit-style water bottle.

If anyone has a Bailey Chair they are no longer using and would be willing to donate, please reach out. ❤️

We are also looking for a special foster who is willing to give Boomer the extra love, patience, and care he needs.

Next week, Boomer will see a surgeon to determine if surgery is an option. If it is, the cost could range anywhere from $1,000–$4,000. We don’t have answers just yet, but if surgery can give this precious boy a better quality of life, we’re going to do everything we can for him.

Doc, Dora, and Dollie all received a clean bill of health today! 🩺❤️ They have officially been spayed and neutered and are now ready to find the loving forever families they deserve! 🏡✨

These three sweet babies have come such a long way and are looking for patient, loving homes where they can continue to blossom. 🌸
