Practicing “pause strategies” to use when feel overwhelmed:

Take 5 deep breaths
Squeeze a stress ball or fidget
Count slowly to 10
Draw or write about their feelings

These little steps add up! With practice, students learn how to pause, calm down, and respond instead of react.

Try introducing one new strategy at a time and practice it daily—before stress shows up.

All City Schools schools will be closed on Monday, January 6, 2025, due to forecasted inclement weather. Essential employees should report on time. Non-essential district office employees will work remotely.
