Last Friday, at the artist-owned contemporary art gallery Touchstone Gallery (), NUNAR and Touchstone co-hosted a private soirée honoring Black artists shaping the D.C. and Baltimore art world with a toast — held in tandem with Touchstone’s exhibition Ain’t No Place: History and Legacy in the Black Community, curated by Charmaine Seymone (.seymone), and Makda Kibour’s The Mask I Wore.

Physical copies of NUNAR’s Issue 6 featuring 166 D.C. black contemporary artists in Beverly Price’s A Great Day in Chocolate City were also available on the evening.

In front of the City Schools headquarters, skaters have taken over — a sight not seen before. Dozens upon dozens of people — diverse with a variety of ages and races — queued up a block over for hours alongside North Avenue for the grand opening of Carpet Company’s flagship location in Baltimore City.

NUNAR was on the ground photographing and talking to some of the familiar faces who showed up.
