DEAR MR. MEMORY: One lonely night in the mid 70’s when I was living alone in a little farmhouse in Dagsboro, Delaware, I decided to call some friends for company. All I got was – busy signals, numbers no longer in service, busy with the kids, in the middle of doing something with the wife—some had left town or passed away. I wrote this to express the existential blue loneliness and exaggerated a bit for effect. Sizzling solos from Paul Saroka on sax and Ron Turner on guitar and production; with me on vocals, piano, bass; Mike Kanter on drums; produced by Ron Turner.
