Dr. Linda Marie Weaver has been appointed Assistant Secretary for Administration for the Maryland Military Department, adding another remarkable chapter to a career built on leadership, service, faith, and excellence.

What makes this story even more special is that her appointment comes during an extraordinary year for Dunbar alumni. Along with Sabrina Tapp-Harper, Democratic nominee for Baltimore City Sheriff, and Julian E. Jones Jr., Democratic nominee for Baltimore County Executive, Dr. Weaver represents another Dunbar Poet making history in 2026.
