BEHOLD the Omen for Midsummer! Hail CedarLight!

CedarLight held a very high energy Greek celebration of Lanaia for Imbolc last night. Folks came dressed for their parts Dionysus and Cerebus, Pan, Artemis, and others were all in attendance. Cerebus wandered off to play with the neighborhood dogs and we could all hear it but they instantly stopped barking when we called him back. Who's a good boy? You're a good boy! Our divination was by tearing an animal shaped pinata filled with strips of paper with various things written on them for entrails. The seer/maenad tore the animal apart while screaming and then read the entrails. This was followed by some Greek wine and grape juice as the waters and 2 people took the other to become full members. One of the highlights was Puck being Puck in all his fabulous glory dancing and frolicking with his drum all over the sanctuary.

Another plus was the officers organized a large amount of mulch to be deployed before the rite which made the sanctuary much more accessible and dry for everyone. We've had a LOT of rain lately and it was quite muddy.

3:00 PM: Doors open to guests
4:00 PM: Zoom room will open
4:30 PM: Pre-ritual brief
6:00 PM: Ritual start.
After ritual: The Feast!
9:00 PM Doors Close
(You don’t have to go home but you can’t stay here.)
Cost: $20.00 suggested donation
**The chants and songs will be taught at the pre-ritual brief. Please attend.
*** Please indicate if you are coming and reply as to what you are bringing to the feast. It's going to be colder so crock pot meals are ideal.
**** Offerings to the ancestors of mind are important. We will be collecting in a basket for the fire. Writing letters to them is a wonderful way to tell those who have inspired you in life, what they meant to you. Offerings to them are important.
