Funktopia™️ is a is a multidisciplinary arts initiative that centers BIPOC stories created through solidarity and collaboration with artists from our communities and our allies. Telling these stories is labor of love. It takes a little blood, a lot of sweat, and even a few tears to bring them to life.

Funktopia™️ is growing faster than we ever could have imagined. Our residency at the Voxel Theatre has been a dream come true. But we need your help to help us reach the stars and beyond. The philosophy of Funktopia™️ is embodied in the ideals of Sankofa - a word in the Twi language of Ghana which means “looking back to move forward.” We tell inspiring stories that do not focus on systemic trauma. This trauma has rooted itself in how our stories are told, but it is not our only story. We seek to honor the legacies of those who came before and to be true to our own lived experiences, but always to strive for a future free from the bondages of systemic oppression. Your gift of support will allow us to bring these important stories to entirely new audiences in the Baltimore area and beyond. So please consider making a donation at funktopiadonations.eventbrite.com
