Baltimore Clean Streets….

The student-workers of Baltimore Clean Streets and I were back out in the community.

Today we joined Mary Hill and the Beechfield community for their community cleanup and collected 32 bags of trash.

We were not at full squad today but the ones that showed up were eager to get back to work and earn some money.

Baltimore Clean Streets….

These two people are very special to me. They are both brother & sister and my former DGS Youthworks interns and Baltimore Clean Streets student-workers.

Their first jobs at DGS as Youthworks interns were in Facilities Management, Maryland Capital Police and Office of Business Programs. Then having them with my Baltimore Clean Streets program allowed me to be more hands on with their personal growth and leadership.

However, I could not allow this day to escape without me seeing and wishing good luck to Shyanne. On Monday, she will be traveling to Missouri for 23 weeks of Army bootcamp.

I’m beyond proud of them both and thankful for their mother Angie for allowing me to be a part of their lives.

This is why I enjoy working with our youth!

Baltimore Clean Streets….

A few of my Baltimore Clean Streets student-workers and I had a small job today.

Thanks to DPW for their cleanup work last week and now we must try our best to keep West Arlington Park clean.

It’s a challenge but we are here to do our best.
