In the current issue of Hand Papermaking magazine, Tim Barrett gives us his take on Aimee Lee’s new book, As Good as Our Tools, which celebrates eighteen artisans who make the tools, “so the rest of us could make paper.” In the book Lee cautions the field that we are fast losing our pioneer papermaking toolmakers, and sadly, we are mourning the recent passing of Howard Clark, pictured here, in his shop in 1983.
