I met Rob at one of my weekly sets in NYC.

He always had the best energy. The kind of person who brings people together without trying.

One night he told me, “When I get married, you’re my DJ.”

Fast forward a couple years later in Baltimore.
Two families came together, and the energy carried through the entire night.

That kind of experience comes from understanding what people are drawn to and shaping the music around it.

Whenever I travel, I try to find time to dig through record shops. On a recent trip to London, I spent three days doing exactly that.

Discovering music this way reminds me why I fell in love with it in the first place.

That curiosity and love for music shapes every wedding I’m part of, helping create celebrations that feel personal, joyful, and full of energy.

Today marks 10 years since I quit drinking. It almost feels unreal how fast the time has passed. I made the decision to stop running from my problems & started running towards them. I faced the demons that plagued me from my childhood. Domestic violence in the home & my aunt & her daughter molesting me. I didn’t realize they affected me until I had more than one blackout for my liking and mentioning some of these issues during coke talk. The gig at Baby’s Alright was a major turning point for me. I was too wasted to do what I loved. I had the choice between my addiction or my passion. I went with my passion and haven’t looked back since. I found my why and it is what helped me quit. Once you know why you can make a choice but if you don’t find it, it’s like getting stuck in a maze. From the outside looking in, I had a good life but, inside I was battling major depression. My path of healing started with AA meetings. Then I started therapy and continue to do so on a weekly basis. I go to the gym regularly and it’s been 2 years since I started skateboarding. These have all helped me cope with life and the issues that come up for me. Does life get tough? Yes of course but I know that a drink or drugs won’t help. I make the decision to put that energy into something I can do in the present to change my life & circumstances. If you’re having issues with addiction and need someone to talk to. Send me a message. You’re not alone even though it may feel that way. I made it out and so can you and hopefully my story helps you along your path to healing.

Much Love

Before they booked me, Kathryn and Eric came to one of my gigs. They wanted to see how I build a room and how the music moves through the night. By the end, they were all in.

On their wedding day, everything clicked. The energy, the people, the music. All in sync from start to finish.
