Workshop Wednesday hit different this week.
Our youth heard from three powerful men who came from different paths but all showed what it means to work hard, walk in purpose, and build something real. 👏🏾✨
⚓ Charles, a longshoreman with 14+ years at the Port of Baltimore, broke down what it takes to move the world literally. No degree, but deep discipline, teamwork, and leadership that keeps global trade flowing.
👟 Matt Bartee, founder of Rare Couture, showed how hustle, faith, and creativity can flip sneakers into a whole movement. A man of God and a full-time entrepreneur, Matt reminded us that authenticity is your superpower.
🏃🏾♂️ Jordan Leon, D1 track champ, educator, and founder of God’s Work Clothing, showed that consistency, character, and calling can carry you far on and off the field.
Degrees or not there are many ways to succeed. These men showed up to prove that with purpose, discipline, and belief, you can win your way.
Thank you for pouring into our youth with truth, love, and lived experience. 💯🔥
🎉 FIELD DAY IS BACK! 🎉
Watch the recap from last year’s unforgettable Family & Friends Field Day and get ready, because we're doing it again!
📅 Tuesday, July 29, 2025
📍 Lake Roland Park
🕙 Starts at 10:00 AM sharp
An eventful day full of food, music, games, and nonstop fun from tug-of-war to kickball to races and more! Expect a friendly (but fierce!) competition and plenty of laughter.
💚 We’re calling on parents, families, and volunteers to jump in and support wherever you can from set-up and serving food to cheering kids on at the finish line. Your presence makes this day even more special.
Let’s make this summer one to remember.

The youth got a special visit from a real attorney who walked them through the entire court process from arrest to verdict. It was an eye opening lesson on how the justice system works and why understanding it is so important. Knowing your rights, responsibilities, and how the system functions empowers young people to make informed decisions and become active, engaged citizens.
To make the experience even more hands on, Group Leader Ray stepped up to act as the judge in a mock trial, giving the youth a chance to step into courtroom roles and bring the learning to life. 🧑🏽⚖️⚖️📚

From Baltimore to the Air Force ✈️💪🏽
This week, we had the honor of welcoming 2d LT Taqi Robinson a Baltimore City native, Baltimore Polytechnic Institute grad, and proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. who came through and lit up the room with his story, his energy, and his push up game 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
A graduate of Frostburg State University with a degree in Engineering, LT Robinson joined the Air Force in 2021 and has since earned the prestigious title of 2nd Lieutenant.
Not only did he share his inspiring journey, but he also showed out doing push-ups with the youth (and yes, the oldest one was the last one standing! 🏋🏽♂️🔥).
He led a hands-on team challenge using spaghetti noodles, string, tape, and marshmallows that had everyone thinking critically, building creatively, and staying fully engaged.
From real talk about discipline, travel, and decision-making to laughter, learning, and leadership LT Robinson reminded our youth what it means to lead with purpose and passion.
Thank you for your presence, your journey, and your impact. Baltimore raised. Frostburg made. Air Force strong.
