I’ll be sitting with this one for a while…
On Friday, May 22, 2026, I was elevated and installed to serve as The 9th Convener of the ACPE Racial Ethnic Multicultural (REM) Network.
After a week of reflecting on the magnitude of this distinguished role, and the responsibility bestowed on me by God, and unanimously entrusted to me by my colleagues and the association, I remain humbled, honored, in awe, inspired, and encouraged. I am enlivened with zeal, purpose, and passion to receive the torch to lead REM, into the dawning of a new era.
REM started in April 1980 as a task force and movement, under the visionary leadership of The Rev. George P. Paulk, to mobilize the need for racial and culture diversity, economic empowerment, equity, and freedom within ACPE and the field of spiritual health, chaplaincy, counseling, and psychotherapy, around the world. The firm foundation laid by our Founders, and the legacy advanced by our Elders, who cultivated bridges and bonds that honor difference and celebrate uniqueness in the profession and the academy, remains alive and well.
With the blessing of community and the prominent support that I’ve already received from The Steering Committee, I embrace this mandate and mantle with holy fervor and a committed social witness. I am ready and equipped to champion the mission and movement of the ACPE Racial Ethnic Multicultural Network.
Rev. Johnny Bush, thank for your leadership, guidance, collegiality, and mentorship. It is and has been a blessing. I have watched you (and Bridget) since I became a member of REM and attended my first Invitational, in 2013. Over the last 3-years, I have had the privilege of gleaning from you in ways I did not expect. Ways that were preparing me “for such a time as this.” You’ve charted a course marked by dignity, integrity, change, challenge, courage, commitment, and sacred solidarity. It is a path I am proud to follow, in my own heels.😉 Receiving this position from you means more than you know.
And now, we . Embracing the next 3-years of greater works, growth, collective collaboration, and shared brilliance. Let’s Work!
In Care and Gratitude,
Tamekia A. Milton

I wasn’t looking. I was led and I landed.
Now, with a full and fruitful 1-year in, I can say it’s a good fit.
On May 19, 2025, I became the first woman, Manager of Spiritual Health at Wellstar North Fulton Hospital. With more than 15 years of Senior Leadership in Spiritual Health, as a Clinician, ACPE Certified Educator, and Manager of Academic Affairs, this is my first clinical manager position. I have the sacred responsibility to administratively guide and steward the spiritual health and wellness of our hospital and community.
What was conceived on January 4, 2025, when the Lord woke me at 4:00 a.m. and prompted me to update my CV and apply. Five interviews later, along with a series of social and psychological assessments, I was offered the position.
I am honored to be part of an organization that “reinvests thoughtfully in prevention, wellness programs, and charity care. One that expands access to compassionate, world‑class care through 11 hospitals, 329 medical office locations, 11 cancer centers, 91 rehabilitation centers, 35 imaging centers, 20 urgent care locations, five health parks, three hospice facilities, and two retirement villages.”
What brings me the greatest joy is partnering with extraordinary colleagues, who have big hearts, brilliant minds, and a shared commitment to our mission: “to enhance the health and wellbeing of every person we serve.”
This year came with many firsts and countless opportunities to learn, grow, and lead. I value every lesson and experience. I’m grateful for my phenomenal team of diverse spiritual health clinicians who trust and respect my vision, as we lead in providing wholistic care, to patients, families, and staff.
Serving in this role has expanded my capacity and deepened the altitude of my calling, to minister hope and healing to all of God’s people. I remain in awe of God, for the unfolding ways He continues to allow me to , and fully embrace “Who I Be,” as I walk in purpose and the fulfillment of prophecy; all for His Glory.
I pray this enlivens your faith and inspires you to keep trusting and obeying God.🙏🏽💛✨

April has been a month of elevated experiences and moments that have left me in awe.✨
From blossoming into 44, to marking meaningful milestones, embracing new positions and platforms, cultivating fresh relationships, and creating memories that will surely manifest the purpose and promise God ordained, beyond this present moment.
In the midst of growth, change, transition, triumphs, and even tears, I found myself reflecting on the immeasurable grace of God, and how the depth of His love transcends beyond anything I could ever imagine.
The truth that love is “patient and kind,” reminds me of the extent of what it takes to consistently in the will and plan of God.
The more I believe, the more I trust.
The more I trust, the more I obey.✨🫶🏽
And it is in this harmonious rhythm and flow of Spirit, I am sustained by both the peace and the pace of God. This mode of being has not only allowed me to ascend and access a deeper awareness of “Who I Be,” but it has awakened me to occupy spaces and places aligned with destiny.
What a joy and honor it was to conclude this month as the Mistress of Ceremonies for the 1st Annual Secret Garden Charity Gala. The inspiration, luxury, and excellence that filled the room reflected the quality of the mission and the brilliance of its visionaries, Mr. Antonio and Mrs. Margo Taylor. It was a distinct privilege to serve the cause and stand among such affluence and influence.
As April 2026 takes her bow, I span forward with eager anticipation and expectation, believing and knowing, the best is yet to come. Greater, Bigger, and Better are still on the way.
My prayer and simplest hope is for the light of Jesus Christ to continue to emanate through me, to empower, enlighten, and embolden somebody along the journey.🙏🏽💛✨

“God positions us when, where, and how He chooses, so we can fulfill His purpose, His promises, and the destiny He designed for our lives.”✨ ~Pastor Tamekia
I’ve been reflecting on last Sunday afternoon for a while. I shared it with a dear friend who unbeknownst to him, spoke, and has consistently spoken to the extent of God’s power, impact, and reach through my life, which is manifesting NOW!
During revival a few weeks ago, the Lord had me to declare: “Your next is now. And whatever you do now will determine what happens next!” A determination to:
🌱OBEY at all cost (1 Sam. 5:22)
🌱TRUST when it’s uncomfortable and unfamiliar. (Prov. 3:5-6
🌱REJOICE amid the pruning and labor pains. (1 Thess. 5:18)
🌱REST in the stillness, knowing God is at work and in control. (Psalm 46:10)
This posture will essentially bring you into your “hope and expected end.” (Jer. 29:11)
Sunday’s assignment looked different, yet it was divine and aligned. After worshipping virtually at one of Thee best churches on this side of Heaven, I attended and facilitated a birthday blessing and prayer for a beautiful woman, someone I first met through a business exchange that God later deepened through spiritual impartation.
Sharing in Jasmine’s Sunday Brunch Birthday Celebration, was a gift. I was honored to help usher her into a new dispensation of time, to in the identity God is revealing for her life, alongside the other women at the table. The setting was unconventional, but I’m learning to lean into the uncommon and the uncomfortable.
In this season, this new era of life and living, I find myself more anchored in adhering to the Lord’s command: “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9)
As I boldly prepare and position myself for what’s next, now, I encourage you to do the same. Don’t shrink back from the unexpected, the unexplainable, or the unknown.
It’s there, in those unfamiliar moments and spaces, that God will meet you, to bring to pass EVERYTHING He spoke and revealed.
