First English Lutheran Church
First English seeks to spread the love of Christ, welcome all unconditionally, and actively care for God's people. We worship at 10 a.m. Join us.
The 10 am worship for the 3rd Sunday after Pentecost (June 14, 2026) was based on Romans 4:13-25 where Paul offers the example of Abraham’s faith. It is also Graduate Blessing Sunday and we are focusing the part of our church mission statement that says “to spread the love and teachings of Jesus by reaching out to those in need. The Rev. Sandra Carlson Alexis preached and officiated.
The deacon was Anna Treskon; the reader was Mary Ellen Evanko; Mae Evanko was the crucifer; Michelle Olmstead was the communion helper; the usher was Mike Olmstead. The Psalm of the day was Psalm 100. The songs included “My Hope is Built on Nothing Less,””Borning Cry,” and “O Lord of the Blossom.” Music for this service is from Of the Land and Seasons liturgy was led by our Minister of Music Joann Moorer and cantor Jorge Ramirez-Sanchez. Thanks for the musical talents of Eric Stahl, Karen Stahl, Jane Santoni Smith, Patti Stude, and Pastor Sandy.
