RIP to the Joseph Kavanagh ghost sign on the intersection of South Central and Pratt Streets. :( The new owner decided it is better to have an entirely grey building...🙄

The business began in 1866 and occupied this building at Pratt and Central for nearly 80 years before moving the shop to Dundalk. The business is still family owned and is in its 6th generation. It is such a shame that there is no longer a reminder of the family run businesses and their long standing history in the city.

We have returned from our Deep Creek Wedding Week! We had a blast and Human Made Signs is officially a husband and wife owned and operated business!

For our welcome sign I used a design from Atkinson’s book “Sign Painting Up to Now” it was a challenge to paint and a lot of fun. Design No.22 with the Nouveau Block font from was the perfect fit for our wedding

Back to Virginia we go! Since December we haven't been home for more than 3 weeks. It is a lot more traveling than other years. Yes I miss my bed and my boat, but all the other things I could miss are right here with me.
