Our Story

Crafted Hair Studio was originally brought to life by Master Stylist, Rachael Epstein in back 2016. She transformed this previously empty space into something that would soon grow into being one of the most successful salons in the Baltimore area. As a company, Crafted had donated to hundreds of local charities over the years and continues to do so today.

Fast forward to 2019, Rachael made the decision to pass this amazing space over to our long time Salon Manager, Shelly Shellhorn! Moving forward into the years to come, Shelly plans on keeping the spirit of Crafted alive and well while adding a touch of her own personal Rock n’ Roll style into the mix. Her beliefs align very much with Rachael’s and she prides herself in maintaining a safe environment for anyone that comes through the door. We welcome each and every individual to an opportunity to look and feel beautiful in their own unique way.

We specialize in doing Natural Hair, Deva Curl Cuts, fantasy coloring, traditional styles, edgy looks, blonding & Balayage etc.

We use professional Wella and Redken hair color that delivers vivid, long lasting color and shine. If you are looking for a more extreme look we use Joico and Pulp Riot color with hues ranging from the brightest neons to the softest pastels.

But we aren't just a hair salon! We also provide various waxing services ranging from brows, to lip and chin.

We are a Clean Energy powered business and are also proud participants in the #safeinmychair movement.
